Wills
Making your Will gives peace of mind for you and your loved ones. It allows you to control the distribution of your assets when you are gone. The charge is £150 for a single Will and £250 for mirror Wills for a couple.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Making your Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to plan in advance who would manage your money or make decisions about your health and welfare if you were unable to do so yourself. They can be used if you are ill for a short period or if you suffer a permanent condition such as dementia. The charge for a single Lasting Power of Attorney is £350 and for a couple the charge is £500. Please note that you may also be required to pay a registration fee of up to £110.
Trusts
A Trust can be created during your lifetime, or in your Will. Creating a Trust protects your assets for your chosen beneficiaries. Examples of where a Trust can be useful are to direct assets to children from a previous relationship or to a disabled beneficiary. They can be used for other purposes. Probate
When a loved one has died, the Society of Will Writers can administer the probate process for you if you wish. Amanda will visit you in your own home to gather the necessary information, and then the whole process is taken care of for you.
