In the past Clive replaced all the guttering at our property and recently repaired and replaced roof tiles.

His work was impeccable, and he kept me thoroughly updated throughout the job.

During the gutter replacement the weather was dire with days of constant heavy rain but Clive completed the job within the stated time working at weekends to compensate for time lost. He replaced the roof tiles during recent heavy winds and rain brought by Storm Darragh.

I was astonished that he even turned up! I would not hesitate to recommend him in a heartbeat.

Clive arrived on time and was very methodical in his work. Fitted us in on a Saturday. Will keep his number if we get any more small jobs.

Clive recently fitted me a new kitchen. Well, that’s what we’d originally discussed, but he ended up doing so much more than expected (moving electrics, plumbing, plastering, repairing a window and the list goes on…) to ensure a ‘proper job’. He takes pride in his work and it really shows. I’m so over the moon with the outcome. Selfishly, I didn’t really want to leave a review because then everyone else will know how good he is and I want him all to myself! Due to his outgoing character, he’s also built good relationships with his suppliers; which means that if he refers you to one of them, they’ll look after you. He also charges a fair price. I’ve already booked him for my next project!

After being let down by a number of people to do a few odd jobs we found Clive on the Age UK website and are so pleased we did. Clive is lovely man. He has done a great job for us and was very respectfully of our home leaving no mess to be cleared up and covering surfaces to prevent damage. We have no hesitation in highly recomending him and he will be our "go to" for any jobs in the future. Thank you Clive.

Clive fitted a new bath and bath panel for me but it turned it wasn’t a straightforward job. Clive managed to find a really good solution and worked really hard to get it done. We chose Clive from Age Uk's list of aproved contractors to completely refurbish two bedrooms which involved Joinery,Plumbing,Plastering,Decorating & Electrical work.Clive did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price.We have had many contractors in the past but Clive is by far the best we have ever had.We plan to renovate the rest of the house over time & wouldn't use any other contractor other than Clive now.

Once again I employed Clive to do work on my brothers flat in Nottingham. As I live over 100 miles away my mind is at ease using Clive. This time my brother came to stay with me whilst the work was carried out, leaving Clive the keys to get on with the job in hand, this time included ripping his kitchen out and putting a whole new one in kitchen sink, units, flooring, painting etc, well what a transformation when we returned, top quality job done no mess on our return. Well done Clive I am so thankful for having a professional and reliable person to call upon whenever my brother needs work doing be it a small job or large. Many thanks yet again I'm sure there will be many more jobs in the future at my brothers.

I have used Clive several times for small jobs however this time I wanted the bath taking out and a shower putting in at my brothers. I trusted Clive with a key and had my brother stay with me over 100 miles away. Clive kept me updated and sent me photos of the progress, he did an amazing transformation much better than I imagined, all the pipework was neatly boxed in and he fully tidied up after himself. Although Clive seemed a bit vague when assessing and quoting for the job he arrived as agreed, was organised and delivered a high standard of work at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend him and I have already asked him to quote for another job. A genuinely nice man.

Clive has carried out numerous jobs at my brothers property, it was hard for me as I live a 100 miles away. Although I had to wait a long time after Clive visited and gave his quote, re: the ceiling falling down in one of the bedrooms, I was extremely impressed with the quote he gave and the work he carried out (and left the room clean after having to dismantle a very old Victorian ceiling!! ). I gave him an extra £25 because I felt that the quote was extremely competitive and he worked for 6 hours.

Clive fixed a chair belonging to a lady I support. He was very flexible when booking the appointment and was very friendly. He did a great job and his price was extremely reasonable.

Clive was prevented from working on the day of the job due to poor weather but promised the job would be done by the end of the week, which it was.
He checked and cleared the gutters at the front of my terraced house as well as clearing the blockage and clearing the gutters at the back for what I thought was a fair and reasonable price. He worked safely and well and was very personable.

I contacted Clive for a number of jobs Dad needed doing in the bungalow he had just moved in to. He spent over an hour visiting the bungalow and listening to the ideas we had and gave us great advice. He got back to us within a few days, with a very good quote so we decided to go with him. He completed the work in a very professional and high standard. We are more than happy with the laminate flooring throughout the bungalow and the 3rd bedroom is now a very useful study, with worktops, shelves and storage areas. Clive responded to initial enquiry and called to give us a quote. We arranged a date a time - to be fair, we had to cancel this appointment because of a family emergency. Once settled, I was in touch with Clive to reschedule, he said he would check his diary that evening and get back to me. He didn't get back to me, so later that week I contacted him again to reschedule, he suggested 'next Sunday'. Aware that people use this term to mean different things I clarified the date with Clive - he agreed the date. The date came, but Clive did not! We phoned- he seemed to be unaware of the date - saying he was not due to call till the following week.
Clive offered to call any day of the following week - we agreed a day and time - Friday 10am. We rearranged our schedule - we are still trying to work and have carer responsibilities for an adult son.
Friday 10am came and went - no sign of Clive! At 2pm I messaged Clive saying how disappointed we were that he hadn't turned up - he responded quickly - he had got sidetracked - but he could pop round and do the job now. But after 2 no shows (and needing prompting to rearrange) after we had reorganised our timetable I had lost confidence in Clive and said we would rather leave it.
So I can't comment on the quality of his work as I never got to see it. Clive is a friendly man, who does appear to want to do a good job. I don't know why things went so wrong with this - but it was very disappointing.
