I can highly recommend them. There was a wide range of jobs that I needed doing (electrics, gas safety certificate, tiling, plumbing ) and they did them very professionally. Initial phone contact was easy,. friendly and responsive without being pushy. Service was then punctual and efficient and very very reasonable in terms of costs. In fact the price was way below other service providers for the required task which involved removal of my garage clearance junk and waste. As an older customer I felt respected, listened to and very very safe. I will hope to use the firm again and I recommend them to other customers. This is an update to a review I left earlier regarding AJ Joinery and a quote I asked for but never received. To their credit they have been in touch to explain they did send me a quote in July but to a different e mail address so I never received it and they assumed I had and given their (right) policy of not chasing people things got left. I have upgraded AJ based on my experience of previous work which I cannot fault in terms of quality and cost but I have deducted a star for the admin which has slipped on this occasion and is part of a good service delivery

A while ago I would have given AJ Joinery 5 stars as they have done a couple of jobs for me which were so well done and competitively priced - I recommended them to a friend who found the same. Sadly I asked for a quote for some replacement fencing panels months ago and despite a visit to site and several reminders from me that I still hadn`t received it I have not heard anything at all and have since had the fence done by another company. My score is not about the quality of their work which is excellent but their inability to keep in touch with customers - I feel that they have become a victim of their own success and have tried to take on too much work but dealing with it by ignoring customers is not the answer - it is far better to be honest with people and let them know if it is not a job you want to undertake or it will take much longer than expected to do it. As it is I wasted two months waiting before I gave up and found somebody else - I understand the job may have been too small and bigger jobs are taking priority but it is only fair to let customers know if that is the case so they dont waste time waiting for something that is never going to happen. Ignoring potential customers and hoping it will all go away is not a good business strategy. I try to be fair and positive giving feedback but it is also important to let other customers know your experience so that they can make an informed choice

We asked for a quote for some work and he came and seemed interested but alas after a lot of emails from me we never heard any more. When you want someone to quote you expect a reply even if it is a negative but to receive no reply is definitely rude. I wouldn't get in touch with this person again and will get my work done with some one else

Recently had some joinery work done by Steve.The quality of work was excellent.Very efficient and left no mess.I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to any one else.

I have recently had some work competed by Jay and Chez and I can not recommend these guys enough, they did a superb job, was very helpful and carried out the work in a speedy time and made sure everything was clean after they left, as well as making me feel more than comfortable to have other jobs competed by this firm, they really are a great bunch of people and I look forward to finding more jobs for them to complete in the future. Total pleasure thanks guys !!!

I had my old bathroom suite removed and converted into a wet room. The work was completed to a very high standard and I am delighted with the finished room. Don’t bother. Came out to see us but 6 weeks later, no quote. Chased him 3 times to ask for the quote to be sent. Still no quote.

We used this company to board and plaster our ceiling and fit coving. The service was excellent from beginning to end. The two young men (Keifer and Carl) who came to do the job were hard working and very pleasant. The work was top quality and fair priced. We would certainly recommend this company and will certainly use them again.

Excellent service well priced done several jobs at my home. AJ were referred from my friend who uses age concern (Age UK). My daughter is now using them to fit her new kitchen. Its like having a good garage once you've found a reputable one you don't use anyone else and I wont now ive found AJ I wont!
